Blockchain developers are a scarce resource and strongly needed in an upcoming age of blockchain-based distributed systems. Building in-house expertise on this technology will be an essential part of any broader digital transformation strategy. This workshop is the first step to get in touch with blockchain technology and its applications with focus on Hyperledger Fabric, a development tool for applications and solutions with a modular architecture. You will be trained to understand and write smart contracts for the Hyperledger blockchain.

What is Hyperledger?

  • Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort (consortium), created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies
  • It is a global collaboration, hosted by The Linux Foundation, including leaders in finance, banking, IoT, supply chain, manufacturing and technology
  • Hyperledger offers corporations the best technology-onboarding and making use of Blockchain within existing and global organizations

Business Relevance

  • Blockchain is not only Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies, but an enabler for new business models and organizational structures
  • Early experimentation with use-cases and training of new talents is best-practice to build the future
  • The Hyperledger community bundles tech-resources and experts in order to have greater impact
  • Blockchain is an cooperative technology which connects former unknown or untrusted business partners

Goals of Workshop

  • Create enterprise grade, open source, distributed ledger frameworks & code bases
  • Provide neutral, open, & community-driven infrastructures
  • Understand Smart Contract paradigm and Chaincode
  • Use right tools to setup and operate Fabric Blockchain and develop code for it
